Jennifer C. Ohn has represented clients in a variety of commercial litigation, including Landlord/Tenant disputes, construction litigation, mechanic’s and materialmen’s liens, contract disputes, employment/minimum wage/overtime disputes, intellectual property disputes, and real property disputes. Jennifer has handled cases in state and federal courts throughout Texas and has appeared in proceedings in Texas appellate courts and briefed cases for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. During her time at SMU, Jennifer gained experience in corporate governance and protecting intellectual property while serving as the Chief student attorney for the Dedman School of Law Small Business and Trademark Clinic. Jennifer’s background in advertising and business allows her to help clients resolve disputes in innovative ways.

  • Pursue and defend construction claims of all types
  • Representation of contractor in contract disputes, including the pursuit of claims in bankruptcy court
  • Negotiated settlements in contract disputes


  • Negotiation and drafting non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
  • Assist companies in developing, reviewing, and revising employment agreements, post-termination agreements, operating agreements, codes of conduct, and policies and procedures
  • Pursue and defend claims involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
  • Pursue and defend claims involving breach of employment agreements


  • Negotiation and drafting commercial leases, subleases, and assignments for both Landlords and Tenants
  • Pursue and defend breach of lease claims, including Texas Property Code violations, constructive eviction claims, breach of covenant of quiet enjoyment claims, and breach of implied warranty of suitability claims
  • Represented property owners and Tenants against Americans with Disabilities Act claims
  • Represented residential property owner in lawsuit brought by City of Dallas for Dallas City Code compliance claims
